We will look at the general curriculum journey of a secondary school student, highlight some important moments and explore the professionals you will encounter. - INVESTIGATE: How secondary schools really work, the day-in-the-life of a secondary school student and teacher. How to form a great working relationship with secondary schools. - EXPLORE: Top-tips from secondary school teachers, support staff and heads about how to prepare your child for the transition. We will explore different ways you can support your child as they move into secondary school. We will look at some of the common anxieties parents have and explore ways to deal with these if/when they arise. - A Q&A session (you can submit questions in advance or live during the session) If you are not satisfied with the session (I am confident you will be!) - you will get a full refund! FAQ Is this course going to help? I am so confident it will help, I will give a full refund if it doesn't! You will feel more prepared for the main differences between primary and secondary school and be armed with tools to help support you through this important moment in your child's education. My child's secondary school has already sent information, wont this just be the same? No. The information the school sends out is really important, but will be 'zoomed-in' on the details. In this course, we 'zoom-out' and look at the secondary system as a whole. I will also give you tips-and-tricks about how to navigate the school system as a parent and help you to become an effective partner in your child's education.
